Contextual
Children must know from the very beginning which food helps them to grow healthy. Throughout this unit children will learn two differentiates between healthy and unhealthy food. It is an amusing story about growth and change in which a very tiny and very happy caterpillar grows from a small egg to a beautiful butterfly.


Learning outcomes:
§ To learn and use vocabulary related to healthy and unhealthy food.
§ To apply and relate what they learned to their own life. 
§ To write their own book following a pattern.
§ To learn vocabulary related to days of the week.
§ To know things about the life of the caterpillar.
§ To use vocabulary and language related to New Technologies.

Vocabulary
Healthy and unhealthy food: sausage, salami, cheese, pears, plums, watermelon, pie, sweets. The days of the week The life of the caterpillar: Little egg, little caterpillar, big caterpillar, cocoon, asleep and butterfly. Adjectives: Hungry, big,  Numbers: 1-31 (in speaking activities). ICT vocabulary: Mouse.
Language
Active: Do you like? Yes, I like; No, I don’t like. It is a little egg. 
Passive: Let’s…; Is it an…Show me the… 
Phonetics: The alphabet sounds and the pronunciation of the main vocabulary. Rhythm, stress and intonation of the poems, chants and songs.
